Green Hill Arts will be holding a Carnival Cèilidh at Moretonhampstead Parish Hall on Saturday the 8th of February. Doors open at 6pm with first dances starting at 6.30pm, and a second half (for the older ones!) starting at 8pm.

Come and join us for an evening full of fun, dancing, and Carnival spirit in the depths of winter! Dancing will be accompanied by the fantastic Dartmoor Folk Orchestra led by David Faulkner calling traditional dances for all to enjoy. Bar and refreshments will be available.

This event is free thanks to funding from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, although a £5 suggested donation is welcomed and will go towards supporting the 100th Moretonhampstead Carnival celebrations. Green Hill Arts has organised a range of creative projects celebrating Carnival, including an after-school art club and music workshops for students at Moretonhampstead Primary School, and community textile workshops to create a huge banner for the Carnival procession. Artwork will be proudly displayed at the Carnival Cèilidh before moving to an exhibition space later in the year.
