International Women's Day was first celebrated on March 19 1911.

A million women and men rallied in support of women's rights on that first International Women's Day.

TreeSisters  Dartmoor Grove and Azul Thome (SOULand.org) invite you to gather your threads with your sisters and take part in the beautiful and creative act of Weaving yourselves Back Into Matter; remembering that as women we matter, and are, in fact, the matter of our Mother Earth.

To celebrate sisterhood around the world, we are inviting women to gather together and take part in one of two weaving activities. Each activity is offered as a nourishing inbreath event. They are simply and potently designed to heal the ancient wounds that exist within sisterhood, so that we can cherish our connections going forwards in deep connection to our Earth.

Weather permitting we may visit the trees in the nearby field weave with the trees at our centre.  Azul Valerie Thomé will initiate us into the beautiful act of simple weaving with magical intention.

There is no charge for this event as we have been donated the Green Hill Arts venue for free.. Donations to the wonderful work of TreeSisters will be very much appreciated and translated into trees.

We have been donated some wool by Proper Job, the community recycling centre in Chagford, and there will be tea and biscuits BUT please do bring some refreshments/CAKE to add to the table if can! For more info contact the Gallery or Angharad Barlow on angharad@treesisters.org
