For two weeks, over one hundred colourful hand-made flags turn the town into a billowing wind-blown gallery.
This unique celebratory magic comes from individual inspiration and collective hard work. Beautiful and often quirky, the flags are made by the community from reclaimed tents and industrial off-cuts.
The project, run by artists Andrea Foxwell and Veronica Gould, gently sustains
itself as each year a few more flags are born and a few more people join the
network of makers.
